Hi guys, let’s brainstorm some ideas on how coffeeteria can be handled. It is such a great 2nd F event but one person seems to own it per AO. Let’s find a fair and sustainable way to keep this going.

Hanger and I were talking about on-site coffeeteria. It would be good to have a pool of two to three Coffeeteria QIC’s at each AO , a bull pen of sorts. We can then rotate the duties each PAX would only have to dry a few months rather than indefinitely. It would also help with vacations and PAX posting DR…. thoughts?

On-site coffeeteria at the AOs at F³ Crossroads is unique to any of the regions I’ve visited around the country. From what I’ve observed, on-site coffeeteria gets 75-100% attendance versus hitting up a Starbucks or Panera where there is typically 10-20% attendance. What would best though in true F³ fashion, is to rotate the duties through the PAX. I think if we have a pool of PAX, two to three per AO who would like to volunteer to make coffee and bring supplies, it would spread the duties amongst multiple PAX and allow a team to work together when a backup is needed and give PAX a break for awhile. Since I’m old school, I tend to think a simple spreadsheet would be easy to accomplish keeping track of who is currently Coffee QIC at each AO and which PAX are alternates. I’m sure though there may be a way to handle with the new App…… thoughts?

Good idea @pi_3.14, let’s get a list of volunteers. I saw @slinky was interested. @pawn_star how can we use the app to create a sign up for coffeeteria volunteers? Would we just HC to a discussion meant for volunteers?

There are no special features for Coffeteria currently so this should start in the hands of the Task Force to determine needs and user experience desired then report back to us as a development team to implement something

I need to pick up one of those large thermoses. I’ll look at Costco and Amazon this weekend. My wife is part-time at the hospital so I can help on days that she doesn’t work as she leaves quite early. Some sort of sign up sheet sounds effective. I like the idea of prioritizing this because it was the coffeeteria that got me out of my shell to talk to more of the guys after the workout

I bought two of these. They have large capacity and keep the coffee piping hot even in the dead of winter. I can gladly hand one off to you. It holds enough coffee for 12-14 PAX to have a couple cups of joe
