I arrived extremely early, before even the EC and BD PAX, to setup the tokens and make sure the field wasn’t a mess.  The weather was nice, and I was completely ready about 4:55.  I did Warm-o-Rama with the BD group and then the TR PAX started to roll in.

Thang 1 – Merkin Indian Run
Count off into 4 teams, then Indian Run to pond, last guy does 5 merkins before sprinting to front,
100 Grady Corns OYO until 1st PAX finishes
Indian Run over the hill,
50 Squats OYO until 1st PAX finishes
Indian Run back over the hill,
50 Bonnie Blairs until 1st PAX finishes
Indian Run back to the flags
Thang 2 – Token Steal w/ coupon work
3 Rounds, 8 minutes each – Teams 1 & 3 at near end parking lot, 2 & 4 at far end.
Complete 3 exercises, then take a half lap stealing one of your opponents tokens on the way.  Deposit back at your end, then do next 3 exercises and run / steal token, repeat until time is called for the round

You guys have probably heard the saying fake it, till you make it.  And probably thought this was a negative thing.  However when you really think about it, this requires 2 things consistently: (1) Show up and (2) Push yourself to get better.   In the Christian world, there is a similar concept of Justification and Sanctification.  Justification is the simple belief in Jesus is the son of God and that he died for our sins.  Sanctification is the process in which our heart changes and our behaviors then follow to honor God.  It isn’t an immediate thing just like getting into shape, but the important part is continuing to understand your weaknesses and challenging yourself through prayer and consisent action to over come them.

Special thanks to Toby for having my 6 and welcome back to Vern after his injury!  The merkin Indian run was good, but next time I would push longer distances between stops to make sure we got equal distribution of sprints…especially when going up the hill!
