Good ol down and back to Settler’s Park. OYO, fast, slow, beat your time, today was about recovery. My goal was to be beat my time; 30:27. Came in at 30:01.
We skipped abs today and instead focused on the Recovery of our legs. Bob Villa led us in some long deep stretching until 6 o’clock
The buzz word today was RECOVERY. I wanted to share the message that as a Recovering Alcoholic it is important to recognize the word as a verb or an action. I will recover when my time is done, but don’t let recovery be the death of your acceleration. Don’t Recover. Keep Recovering.
I shared a story of the crazy couple of weeks I’ve had personally, being busy, long days, long hours at work, we all have them. The process of recovery is returning to a “normal” state, but we can control the “normal” and accelerating each and every day can be our normal. I shared that after a crazy week I get to keep going and when work is done, Dad gets to begin, playing yahtzee with my daughter she said “Daddy, I love when your in my world”. This was important because although she doesn’t realize how touching and adorable she is, when she doesn’t see me for a week she expresses that emotion, that when I’m home I bring her back to her “normal”, I am part of her weekly recovery. It is important in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives to keep pushing, finding time for recovery and also being part of somebodies recovery. Pick up that 6, don’t let them Recover and we all become better, together
