Today we are talking about “Mammon” (aka work) at Q-Source & it’s place on your Concentrica.  I will be honest I have been struggling at work the last couple of weeks.  I had 2 direct reports move on to different opportunities leaving me to shoulder additional burdens, we have been drowning to get out of our inventory struggles due to COVID & some unforeseen things happening the last couple months, & just being in a bit of a funk.  I find myself swimming as hard as I can to get back to the surface but along the way pushing others down in the water like my M, my 2.0’s, & my Get Right.  I have honestly got my concentrica out of order right now not paying enough attention to my M, being angry with my 2.0’s, & cheating on my positive “Get Right” habits I developed during the 1st quarter.

In 10 days I turn 43 & if you have read the F3 book “Freed to Lead” he talks about life as a 2k meter rowing event. The first 500 is a sprint “birth through college” where you are flying w/ no cares, the 2nd 500 meters is the time you are “finding your rhythm, then you enter the 3rd 400 m when many men start to feel lost with the starting line far behind & the finish still far away. A time when a man starts to contemplate what have I accomplished, what will people say about me when I am gone. A time when he realizes there is no more authority over you, you have to look in the mirror for that authority.

For me this concept is the one that has stood out to me more maybe than any other in F3 maybe b/c I am approaching that point in my life.  Right now I need to take a look in that mirror & ask myself what am I going to do about my current unbalance b/c I need to stop talking about my concentrica being upside down & actually do something about it.  Men today I just challenge you if you feel something unbalance in your life, don’t be a victim.  Stop talking about it & do something about it & know that the men around you are there to help you along the way.  Aye!
