I had already planned my CoT earlier this week but after seeing Pi’s post about his son it caused me to re think my CoT & completely rewrite it.  This last month & especially this last week has got me thinking a lot about legacy.  I turned 43 at the end of April & if you have read “Freed to Lead” you will know this is what they call that 3rd 500 meter row you are now climbing down the mountain not really up anymore.  My twin boys turn 7 today & they are starting to go from babies into little impressionable boys.  It is got me thinking more & more about how impressionable they are right now & how important it is that I am the best man I can be for them to install the right morale & habits to be great men someday.  I look at guys like Pi who have set the example for his sons to be leaders & men of high quality or Happy who I cannot imagine the pride & joy in his heart when he saw Heifer step up & lead for the first time just a few weeks ago.  It takes me to F3 & how it has allowed me to grow so much in the last 2 years.  To learn what it is to “get right” so I can start living right & begin to have impact on others like my sons.  It has taught me that the misconception of growing up “tough” & never showing emotion is a false concept.  These are all things I have taken from F3 that I plan to show my boys as they grow into men.  So I ask you men, what legacy are you leaving for your children?  How are you teaching them to be the best versions of themselves?  Where can you be better with your own kids or how can you share with your fellow F3 brothers ways you have created a legacy?  We have less days on this world every day so don’t take it for granted.

Dear lord thank you for this opportunity to wake up early in the gloom & experience your greatness.  We are humbled for the opportunity you give us every day to be in your glory & serve you as leaders in our community.  Watch over those that are not as fortunate as us & give them healing & strength in their struggles.  In your name we pray.  Amen!
