The BackBlast:

I got there at 4:30am to check the condition of the parking lot.  Too icy so adapted to include using the path by the hill which was pretty ice free.

We started at 5:15am with warm-o-rama.

First exercise – 5 motivators

Second exercise – 10 abe pagodas

Third exercise – 10 Tappy Taps

last exercise – 10 shoulder circles

Workout

Gentlemen, when planning this workout I tried to mix it up some and get creative.

Thang 1 – Coupon Strength Exercises

Right where you are at do these exercises:

20 coupon curls

20 overhead press

20 bent over rows

20 skullcrushers

Do two rounds on your own and then do big boys when you are done until everyone finishes.

Thang 2 – Counting by 2’s Ladders

I have two lines marked out with cones with lights over on the path by the hill (0.15 miles between the two ends)  We will mosey over there and spread out  and you will do 2 merkin,2 pickle pushers, and 2 air squats then run over to the other side and do 4 merkins, 4 pickle pushers, and 4 air squats then run over to the other side and 6 merkins, 6 pickle pushers and 6 air squats and run back to the other side and keep adding two more to each exercise each time you run to the other side.  A few of the PAX got to 30 I believe.

Back to the Parking Lot for mary

Mary

Sticking with the learning to count theme let do my variation on Captain Thor’s.  1 big boy and 1 leg raise, two big boys and 2 leg raise, and so forth.  We got to 7.

COT

For today’s circle of trust, I want to start with a quote

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

We all came to our first post for some reason.  I know that I wanted to get in better shape and lose some weight.  Maybe try out a different type of workout.  You guys probably had similar type goals.  I remember barely making it through that first 45 minutes.  Modifying, laying there panting on the ground while Boston Butt lead Mary for 4 more minutes.    But I came back and did a little better the next time and then another and another until I’ve posted over 70 times.  My point is that the hardest accomplishments are the most satisfying.  Think of a goal that you have.  Maybe losing a certain amount of weight, running a certain distance, I don’t know.  Just focus on that goal and keep working at it.  Every time you come out, every merkin that you do, it all gets you a little closer to reaching that goal.  It may seem way out of reach at first but you are getting a small bit closer with each try.  Never stop setting goals.  When you reach your goal set another and then another.  Keep pushing yourself.
