It was a snow covered, Zero Degree, Feels like -14 degree day where 12 guys made the decision to get out there in the gloom and be better then they were yesterday.
Warmups – Arm Circles while running in place, a High Knee/Mountain Climber circuit, and 1.5 laps around the parking lot.
Thang 1 – Burpeevators down from 7. Thang 2 – 3xs sprints with 12 merkins following each sprint. Mosey to the pavilion for Thang 3 – 25 step ups, 25 smurf jacks, 25 monkey humpers, 75 dips. Then back down the ladder starting with 75 dips. 150 dips in a row MIGHT be what you consider too many dips but everyone got them in. Definite muscle failure towards the end. Thang 4 – back to the lot for 2Xs sprints and 12 merkins. Thang 5 – 11s with coupons. Blockees, rifle carry in between, merkins.
Mary – Alternating leg lifts to 27, Plank rotations (can’t remember what they are called) to 27, Big Boy with toe touch till 6am.
COT – the system of accountability works for you to achieve your goals. Whatever your reasons are to get out in the gloom each day, it’s the accountability that is built into the system that makes it work. I challenged each PAX to identify something in their life that they want to improve, put the work in each day equal to the time spent ITG, and find an accountability mechanism to keep moving forward. Accountability partners work in the real world and we should use them to stay on track to meeting those goals. Peace.
